Kia ora Shamili,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am working with Megan and Cia on the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. It is great to see that you have posted five activities on your blog already. Wow! Way to go!
I really enjoyed reading this post about Auckland as it is my hometown as well. I think that we're very lucky to live in such a beautiful city. I am originally from Canada and I did not grow up living near the ocean. Instead, I grew up in a small town in the middle of the country, thousands of kilometres away from the nearest ocean or beach. Now that I live in Auckland I go swimming at our local beach as much as I can! Do you enjoy swimming?
I hope that you will enjoy the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. There are plenty of activities to keep you learning, creating and sharing this learning all summer long!
Hope to see you online again soon,
Rachel :)
Talofa Shamili,
ReplyDeleteYou are right! There are lots of great things here and yes, so many events happen in Auckland. Have you been to any festivals here in Auckland? Maybe next time you could include the names of some events or festivals people could go to when they are visiting Auckland.
I myself was born and raised in the big bustling city of Auckland. One of my favourite memories is going to Pasifika Festival, it's all about celebrating Pacific Island culture and people. It's the biggest of its kind in the world, have you ever been to a Pasifika Festival?
Ka pai, you've made a good start to the Summer Learning Journey Shamili!
Toe feiloa’i fo’i (see you again),
Ms Tokuma.
