Tāne Mahuta

This is the day 2 activity it is about the Tāne Mahuta .


 I would like to visit Tāne Mahuta one day becausen people believe that  tree is the tallest tree in Aotearoa why I  would like to visit Tāne Mahuta it has  so many interesting information and I have never seen a Kauri tree before so I would like to visit Tāne Mahuta one day. it's like so interesting because I've never seen a Kauri tree before and I've never heard a tree that is so tallest I would like to visit Tāne Mahuta.

    It looks like you have been busy completing Summer Learning Journey activities. I am excited to see the rest of your journey this summer.

    I agree with you there is lots of interesting information about Tane Mahuta. I read on the Department of Conservation website that according to Maori legends, Tane Mahuta is known as the son of Papatuanuku (the earth mother) and Ranginui (the sky father). This is why the beautiful tree is so tall because it is reaching up to his father.

    What other interesting information did you read about Tane Mahuta?
